8-WK Intensive Weight Loss Through Tracking Class

Class description: Interested in losing weight through changing your physical activity habits and eating habits? This 8 week class provides just the support you've been looking for. If you have a body mass index that is 25 or more (calculate your BMI here), and you are willing to start tracking your activity and food intake, this is the class for you! Over the 8 weeks you will gradually create a caloric deficit of 250 calories per day - and start to experience the benefits of weight loss.

This class includes:

  • Weekly in-person group meetings lead by Kerry Howell, Cornell Wellness staff. These meetings provide education, support, answers to your individual questions, and keep you heading towards your goal of weight loss.
  • Two individual private meetings with Kerry to discuss your personal goals more in-depth and to reflect on your experiences; one before the class begins; one at the end of the 8 weeks. Optional free measurements provided during the individual meetings to help you track your progress: height, weight, percent bodyfat, 3 site circumference tape measurements (arm, waist, leg).

Additional Details:
Tracking of activity and food using Fitbit is required for this class.
Payment information will be provided to individuals after registration.
Prior to the first individual private meeting with Kerry, you will be required to fill out and return a brief questionnaire to help her get to know you better.
