  • Mindfulness Meditation - A Workshop offered by Cornell Wellness staff and available to Cornell staff & faculty work groups/departments for free. Mindfulness meditation is a technique to slow the mind, calm the body and enhance brain development. There are numerous benefits with taking time to be mindful; reduces stress, increases productivity and energy, pain management and increased immune function, just to name a few.   • A Focus On Guided Meditation - Cornell Wellness and Rec Services teamed up with David Gandelman, Founder of GroundedMind.com, to bring you guided meditations in multiple formats (videos, audios, downloadable App) for the entire Cornell community. With over 10 years of teaching experience, David has cultivated meditations that combine energy awareness, ancient wisdom traditions, and humor, to create a safe and engaging environment for individuals both new to meditation and those wanting to advance their current practice.
  • Cornell Dial-A-Meditation - Feeling stressed at work? Take a quick break and call (607) 254-CALM to experience stress relief and relaxation during your day with 1 to 5 meditations recorded by Cornell Wellness staff and David Gandelman.
  • Cornell Health offers a New App called Calm that supports mental health and wellbeing with meditation, music and tools to help with sleep. Calm premium access (both the website and the app) is now available to *anyone with a cornell.edu email address* for free
    Follow these steps to create your account and begin your journey into Calm:
    • Follow this link . Click "Get Premium for Free."
    • Create your account using your @cornell.edu email address (NetID) and a password of your choosing.
    • Receive your confirmation email and activate your account. At this point, you should have premium access on the Calm website.
    • Download the app on your mobile device and log in. At this point, you should have premium access on the Calm app.
    • Personalize your profile, set a mindfulness reminder, and track your streaks and stats, using the icon in the top left corner. 
    • Personalize your background and ambient sound/music, using the icon in the top right corner.
    • Explore all parts of the app: Meditate (guided, thematic meditations sessions), Music (music to help you focus, relax, and sleep), and Sleep (tools to help you fall asleep).
