CFC Guide to Home Fitness

Recognizing that you can't come to us, we are providing a variety of resources that can be used as workout options or simply ideas that may work for you in the personal space of your home or safe outdoor environment. 

Request a Fitness Consultation

CFC is offering a free 10-15 minute consultation to current students who would like support in putting together their personal at-home fitness routine.  Our goal is to help Cornell Students find a way to stay active and make a priority of taking care of one's personal wellbeing.  If you are interested in having one of our staff follow up with you, please fill out this waiver and survey: Request Fitness Consultation.  This offer is only available to Cornell Students.  Requests for consultations will be answered in the order in which they are received.   

Join a group exercise experience

All members of the Cornell Community can participate in LIVE Virtual Group Fitness classes through Zoom.  To join a LIVE class, you can get started at this link:  Group Fitness - Virtual Classes

Create your own workout template

Find pictures, videos and lists of various exercises that can be done at home with little or no equipment to create a quick movement break or a longer workout.  Pick and choose exercises that match your fitness level by following this link: CFC Create Your Own Workout

Ready-made workouts

Most of the exercises can be adjusted to fit one's current ability or can be substituted for a different exercise.  You can view a selection of workouts by following this link: CFC Ready-Made Workouts

Participate in a Recreational Services at home challenge

World Walking  Join the Big Red Rec group and choose from a variety of walks around the world. You can decide how many steps you want to put towards each walk and participate in whatever walk interests you along the way.  Reach milestones, challenge your friends to "step" up, support fellow participants through chat, share photos of you walking, and "see" the world!
