Group Fitness Classes

Fall 2021 (August 23 - December 17) In-Person and Virtual Group Fitness Classes are listed below.

Free Classes

  • Memberships or wristbands are not required for these Free Classes
  • Free Zumba®: Thursdays 5:00-6:00 PM, in Anabel Taylor Hall - The One World Room. These classes are sponsored by Cornell Minds Matter.
  • Virtual Yoga-Iyengar: Wednesdays 7:00-8:15 AM. Go to the Yoga-Iyengar class page, then click the "Join Here" link on that page.
  • Free Yoga-VinyasaWednesdays 5:00-6:15 PM, in the Teagle Multipurpose Room.  These classes are sponsored by Cornell Minds Matter. 
  • Virtual Yoga-Prenatal: Thursdays 9:00-10:00 AM. Go to the Yoga-Prenatal class page, then click the "Join Here" link on that page.

Virtual Classes 

CFC Membership or a Cornell Wellness Recreation Membership is required to attend all In-Person Group Fitness classes.

In-Person Classes

  • Face masks are required for all people, regardless of vaccination status. See In-Person Group Fitness Classes COVID-19 Policies.
  • Many people find working out with a mask more comfortable when they pair a mask with a 3D silicone bracket support frame, as it supports the mask away from the mouth.
Wristbands are required for entry into all In-Person Group Fitness classes and are available beginning 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time for each class. Wristbands may be obtained in the following locations:
For classes in Helen Newman Hall... Helen Newman Issue Room
For classes in Appel Commons (3rd Floor Multipurpose Room and Fitness Center)... Appel Commons-Friedman Fitness Center
For classes in Teagle Hall... Teagle Downstairs Fitness Center

Group Fitness Announcements

Free Access to Group Fitness Classes with a valid CU ID beginning December 6, 2021

Reduced Fitness Class schedule December 8-17, 2021

Both Virtual Classes are free for Fall 2021.

The following classes are canceled for the remainder of the semester:

  • Sunday 12:15pm Yoga-Vinyasa HNH CR.
  • Monday 7:15am Barre Express at HNH DS.
  • Wednesday 8:30am Pilates at Noyes.
  • Wednesday 12:15pm Fit Trifecta at Appel (moving to Fridays 12:15pm in Helen Newman Hall Dance Studio!)
  • Thursday 11:00am Yoga - Hatha Flow at Teagle.
  • Thursday 12:15pm Zumba® Toning at Ramin Room.
