Group Programs

The group nutrition programs we offer educate students about various nutrition topics in a fun and collaborative atmosphere. Programs can be hosted by organized student groups such as residence halls, Greek affiliations, cooperative housing, clubs, and many more. Or host a program with your friends!

Choose from one of our programs below or request a program. Please submit schedule requests for your group 2-3 weeks in advance, and 3-4 weeks in advance for alternative program topics. To submit a program request please email Emily at ecm98@cornell.edu

With all the information out there about food, nutrition, and healthy eating, how are you supposed to know what to put on your plate?
That's where we are here to help! Learn about the fundamentals of nutrition and how that translates to healthy eating patterns and the food you eat.

Food Safety and Cooking
How do I know if my chicken is fully cooked? How long can you leave food out before it needs refrigeration? Why does eating old food make me sick?
Following proper cooking and food safety principles is an easy way to prevent sickness this semester. This workshop will teach you fundamental food safety for food prep at home.

Grocery stores carry an average of 42,000 items!  Shopping and preparing food for yourself for the first time can be very intimidating.
If you're confused about how to eat healthy foods without blowing your budget, this workshop can help you get started.

One-pot meals are a great way to make convenient, delicious meals. These simple recipes can ease the transition to cooking for yourself at college. Learn how to prepare delectable, easy meals by hosting a one-pot cooking demo for your student group!
