Noyes Facilities

The facilities offered at Noyes include:

Multi-Purpose Room

The MPR divides into two rooms or be used as a large space. This room is primarily used for group fitness classes such as Spinning, Barre, Yoga, TRX, Zumba and more. NOTE: This room is restricted to Physical Education and Group Exercise Fitness class use only.

Fitness Center

The Fitness Center includes 10 treadmills, eight elliptical trainers, four steppers, two rowers, eight bikes and four AMTs. All cardio pieces also have personal cardio theater and iPod connectors. The weight equipment includes a variety of Paramount machines and free weights. NOTE: The Fitness Center will have limited operating hours. Noyes has 3 lounge area with RedRover Wireless, flat screen televisions, media screens, and areas to relax, study or hang out with friends.  The lower lounge also serves as a game room with table tennis and board games for checkout.

Jansen's Market

Jansen's Market is a full-service convenience store located on the 1st floor of the NCRC, serving Starbucks drip and espresso coffee, bubble tea, smoothies, frozen yogurt, fresh soup, sushi and a fresh made to order sub station. The store also carries groceries, snacks, bottled beverages, refrigerated and frozen foods, health and beauty products, and more. Hours of operation during the academic year are:

  • Monday-Friday 10:00 AM-1:00 AM
  • Saturday-Sunday 11:00 AM-1:00 AM

CornellCard, Big Red Bucks, and Meal Plan payments are accepted. Please note that Jansen's staff begins closing procedures ten minutes prior to closing (12:50AM). No new orders or in-store purchases will occur, it will be pick-up only. Building closing procedures will begin at 12:50AM, please let the Noyes IR staff if you placed an order for pick-up prior to 1AM closing.


The state of the art wood flooring offers one court designed for Basketball, Volleyball or Badminton. 

Bouldering Wall

At 30 feet long and 13 feet high at the tallest point, this state of the art wall will give students a chance to practice their climbing skills. For more information on climbing policies, please visit: The bouldering wall is currently open for use.

Outdoor Basketball Court

This venue will give students the opportunity to enjoy basketball in the outdoors. The facility is also a great place for outdoor performances and other special events with its amphitheater style seating.

Access to building will be prohibited 10 minutes prior to closing for building staff to perform closing procedures.

Noyes Updates

Indoor Soccer Intramural Sport Leagues: Beginning Sunday, 2/5, the basketball court will be closed on Sundays from 5:30pm to 11:15pm for Intramural Sport Indoor Soccer leagues. This will be for the entirety of the semester.

Gym Shoes Policy: Beginning November 1 and running through April 1, all users and observers wishing to be in the basketball gym for usage or watching players must bring in a separate pair of clean and dry court shoes than the footwear used to walk to and/or enter the building. Shoes must be shown to the desk attendant for approval. This policy is to keep the basketball floor dry, clean, and safe for participant usage. Patrons will not be allowed admittance to the court if this policy is not followed.

Weekend Activity Priority: The following activities take priority in the basketball gym, meaning if the activity is going or wants to begin, it has priority over all other activities.

  • Saturday - Volleyball, 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM
  • Sunday - Badminton, 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Mask Policy: Patrons may still wear masks as a personal option.
