Wellness Book Club Spring 2022

Are you looking to kickstart 2022 by beginning new healthy habits or getting rid of some habits that are not serving you? Do you find yourself doing a great job pursuing healthy habits or breaking less healthy habits for a short period of time, but have difficulty maintaining those changes? If you are sick of that “yo-yo” cycle, join Cornell Wellness staff for a new wellness opportunity: Our Spring Semester Book Blub.

We will read Atomic Habits by best-selling author James Clear. As we explore this book and concepts, we will learn and grow as a community and take action on small consistent actions to achieve long-term results on our individual health habits and goals. It will be hte start of setting yourself up for lifelong healthy habits! Purchasing or renting the book is required for participation in the book club. If you're having trouble finding an option to purchase or rent the book, please email Jeremy from Cornell Wellness.

How the Book Club Works:

  • Every week you’ll read one section of the book on your own.
  • Each week you will get an email from Wellness staff posing questions to help you reflect on what you learned throughout the chapters you’ve read. You can respond with your reflection through a provided link, and have the opportunity of engaging with a Wellness staff member regarding your response and what you’re learning.
  • There will be two Community Wellness Chats throughout the semester that you can take part in to discuss the book and its concepts as a group.
  • At the end of the book, the Wellness staff will collate your weekly reflections and send them back to you as a journal, so you can continue to learn from your reflections and journey.
