Movement Madness

A Health Campaign beginning May 6

In recognition of National Physical Activity and Sports Month, Cornell Wellness presents our next health campaign "Movement Madness."

  • Week 1 (May 6-12) of Movement Madness will be an introductory week to Physical Activity and Sports. Everyday tune into the Cornell Wellness Facebook page, where you will get 2 new tips each day on how you can get moving. Also, on Wednesday, May 8, attend one of two tabling events at Helen Newman Hall (7am-8am) or Teagle Hall (12pm-1pm), where you can participate in Fitness Jeopardy and win prizes. Not on campus, participate through our Facebook live to have an opportunity to win a surPRIZE.
  • Week 2 (May 13-19) of Movement Madness will be Cornell's Bike Week Challenge.
  • Week 3 (May 20-26) is the final week of Movement Madness. Take a picture of yourself after you work out (or of your work out regiment), take a CFC/ Wellness group fitness class, or follow a workout on an app/YouTube. Also, we want to hear about the physical activity groups or clubs you participate in (noon run club, basketball, soccer, volleyball, etc.) Post these pictures to the Cornell Wellness Facebook page with #CornellWellnessMovementMadness. The more classes, workouts, or group activities you post, the more chances you have to win a prize valued up to $100. On Friday May 24, close out your month of movement by attending a lecture or virtually with Cornell Wellness staff, Jeremy Stewart, where he will be taking you through how to create your own exercise routine and why it is important.
