Equipment Orientations

Equipment Qrientations provide an opportunity for student members to learn how to safely and effectively use our cardio and strength equipment.  Learn proper technique and how to adjust or program each machine, as well as other information to optimize success in your fitness program.  Athletic attire required.

Equipment Instructional Programs are FREE for CFC members. If you are interested in the programs below and want to request a specific time (2 weeks minium notice please), please email: sbf5@cornell.edu

Cardio Orientation:

This program is intended to help members of all experience and fitness levels become acquainted with our cardio equipment. This program gives an overview of all of our different types of cardio equipment, such as treadmills, ellipticals, AMT’s, bikes, and rowing machines.

           Strength Training Equipment Basics:

This program is intended to help members of all experience and fitness levels become acquainted with strength-based equipment. This program gives an overview of different types of strength equipment and tools, such as dumbbells, cables, selectorized machines, barbells, and TRX.
