Strength Training Basics:

Time: 3:00 to 4:00pm

Come get your equipment questions answered! You will have the opportunity to practice what you learn! Athletic attire required. Email: sbf5@cornell.edu with equipment questions ahead of time if you have specific things that you want to learn.

Are you a student CFC member who needs equipment instruction? Equipment orientations provide an opportunity for student members to learn how to safely and effectively use our cardio and strength equipment.  Learn proper technique and how to adjust or program each machine, as well as other information to optimize success in your fitness program. Please request a time if you need an orientation to equipment! Equipment Instructional Programs are available and FREE for CFC members. Cardio Orientation:

This program is intended to help members of all experience and fitness levels become acquainted with our cardio equipment. This program gives an overview of all of our different types of cardio equipment, such as treadmills, ellipticals, AMT’s, bikes, and rowing machines.

           Strength Training Equipment Basics:

This program is intended to help members of all experience and fitness levels become acquainted with strength-based equipment. This program gives an overview of different types of strength equipment and tools, such as dumbbells, cables, selectorized machines, barbells, and TRX.
